  7. Residency and employment status: Based abroad and not planning to relocate temporarily to the UK; salary received from abroad except for travel and other allowances.
  8. Prohibited activities: Must demonstrate no intention to engage in activities such as extended residency through frequent visits, employment (paid or unpaid), goods or services production or sales to the public, study, marriage or civil partnership registration, business, sports, or entertainment activities, or receiving private medical treatment.

You may apply for a business visitor visa if you fall under categories such as Film crew, Representative of overseas news media, Visiting professor accompanying students on a study abroad program, Religious worker, Adviser, consultant, trainer, internal auditor, or trouble-shooter, Person undertaking specific, one-off training, Secondee from an overseas company, Doctor undertaking a clinical attachment, or dentist undertaking a clinical observer post, Doctor taking the Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board (PLAB) test, and similar business activities.
