Skilled Worker Eligibility Criteria

To qualify as a skilled worker, applicants must:

  • Intend to reside in any province or territory except Quebec.
  • Meet the minimum language proficiency requirements of CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) 5 for speaking and listening, and CLB 4 for reading and writing.
  • Possess a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in the designated occupation within the past five years prior to the application.
  • Fulfill all duties specified for the designated occupation in the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
  • Secure either a full-time job offer for a duration of at least one year or a certification of qualification in the skilled trade from a provincial or territorial authority.
