Qualification

  • To be eligible, you need to provide medical reports from designated doctors demonstrating good health and moral conduct, along with police certificates from all countries where you’ve lived for over 12 months in the past 10 years.
  • You must also satisfy English proficiency requirements, with no specific level needed for Talent (Accredited Employers), Talent (Arts, Culture and Sports), and Long Term Skill Shortage List categories. However, for religious workers, a competent level of English (overall 6.5) is required.

Specifications for various classifications of the Work to Residence visa:

To qualify for a residence visa under the Talent (Accredited Employers) Residence Category in New Zealand, you must fulfill the following conditions:

  • Hold a Talent (Accredited Employers) Work Category visa for a minimum of 24 months.
  • Maintain genuine full-time and permanent employment in New Zealand with a base salary meeting the specified threshold: NZ$50,000 per year for applications made between July 30, 2007, and July 28, 2008, and NZ$55,000 per year for applications made after July 28, 2008.
  • Possess full or provisional registration required for your occupation.
  • Have a genuine offer of employment providing full-time work for at least two years in an occupation listed on the Long Term Skill Shortage List.
  • Demonstrate suitable qualifications or experience to perform the job effectively.
  • Obtain full or provisional registration if your occupation requires it.
  • Be under 53 years of age at the time of application.
  • Continue to hold genuine full-time and permanent employment in New Zealand.

Visa Category for Arts, Culture, and Sports Talent Employment

  • You should possess outstanding expertise in your domain, marked by international acclaim or notable achievements, and remain actively influential in your field.
  • Your sponsorship should stem from either an individual or an organization known for fostering exceptional talent or demonstrating a reputation for excellence in arts, culture, or sports.
  • You must be capable of articulating how your contributions will benefit New Zealand.
  • Your current employment status in New Zealand should reflect genuine full-time and ongoing permanent engagement.

Religious Worker Visa:

  • You must be sponsored by a registered charitable organization primarily focused on advancing religion.
  • You should possess a minimum of five years of religious training and/or religious work experience.
  • Applicants must be under the age of 55.
  • Demonstration of good moral conduct and health is required.
  • Meeting the minimum English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5 Bands is necessary.
